Sage Abra Alerts

Sage Abra Alerts is a powerful database monitoring system. Much like Crystal Reports generates paper reports for users on command, Abra Alerts monitors a database for changes and automatically sends out email notifications, reports, spreadsheets and more!

Sage Abra Alerts helps get the right information to the right person for quick and timely action, without user intervention and assists in creating a true paperless office experience and can monitor any data source including spreadsheets.

Sage Abra Alerts is an event driven, SQL triggered, email reporting system and file monitor. The program monitors data sources for any specified changes, actions and/or dates you set the alert to watch for, and then sends out email notifications when this criteria is met.

Basically, the Sage Abra Alerts system functions much like you would expect Crystal Reports would. It queries a database for specified items, pulls the requested information and then presents only that information. Only difference is that it also sends that information in many forms to individuals you designate or are pulled by the query.

The email notifications can contain anything from plain text to multiple attachments including any file format accessible by Microsoft Windows-based PCs. Abra Alerts is also able to use scripts to generate custom reports and spreadsheets that automatically include data from the table being monitored.

Some of the Abra-specific functions include:

  • Monitor date and keep track of time sensitive events
    • Use the alerts to generate reminders like annual reviews to supervisors or verification of enrollment in required training courses to employees.
  • Generate automatic standard E-Mail
    • Abra processes can generate automatic E-Mails for welcoming new employees while at the same time informing all relevant departments of the new hire.
  • Monitor exceptions
    • When items such as PTO balances fall below minimum or send the CFO a list of all voided checks on a monthly basis.

    • Create and automatically send personalized messages via E-Mail

    • Create notices for just about anything you do manually, such as birthday lists or accruable time-off.
